Snow Much Fun!

One of the most magical and memorable moments there was witnessing 5th grade students experience snowfall for the first time in their lives. Their faces, rosy from the cold, lit with excitment as they pranced around, hanging their tongues out to catch a flake. "This ain't Texas*," and kids here in the Valley have seen many snowflakes, yet the wonder and excitement cultivated by their time outside in the snow is strong. My goal in doing winter sports in P.E. class is to grow this snow-day spark by helping students find a winter activity that gets them moving outside and hopefully can become a lifelong pursuit. I know many families do the same outside of school as well! I always enjoy hearing from students about their active weekend adventures. Laundry pro-tips...and health class

In health class, we spent most of January and February covering developmentally appropriate sex education. Before you glaze over by how long this is, I want to share some interesting LAUNDRY facts I learned recently. These have been a game changer for me personally and I look forward to washing the P.E. pinnies with improved cleaning power!
